Our Charlottesville program is our first-ever one-day "minicamp"

Designed to explore the top of intersectionality through conversations with local activists and professionals, this camp is a jam-packed one-day program taking place Friday, February 26. Participating organizations include the Legal Aid Justice Center; Democracy Now!; the Richmond Peace Education Center; Women, Action & the Media; and more! Although this program will take place at UVA, undergrads and grad students from all area schools are welcome to attend. The cost of this program is $75, which covers all food and meetings.

The packed day will look something like this:

8 - 8:30am: Registration and Light Breakfast

8:30 - 9:30am: Teleconference with Democracy Now! staff in NYC

9:30 - 10:30am: Morning breakout groups and starting conversations around intersectionality 

11am - 1pm: Off-Grounds site visits and lunch

1:30pm - Reconvene for sessions with local experts about their work (and Q+A/Discussion)

3:30pm - Another session w local experts (and Q+A/Discussion)

5pm - Big group discussion with Jamia Wilson (Executive Director of Women, Action and the Media) 

6:30 - 7pm: Wrap up and last thoughts

7pm - 8:30pm Closing reception at a private residence
